Mogadishu, Somalia – The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs & Reconciliation announced on Monday the launch of a new education stabilisation programme aimed at restoring the right to education for children in newly liberated communities in Somalia. The programme will provide a safe and secure learning environment for children who were affected by the oppressive regime of Alshabaab gangs.
The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs & Reconciliation, Hon. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, said in a statement: “Education is a fundamental right for all children, regardless of where they live. Our government is committed to ensuring that all children in Somalia have access to quality education, and this stabilisation programme is a critical step in achieving that goal. We must provide children with the support and resources they need to succeed, and help them build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.”
The announcement of the education stabilisation programme is the latest initiative from the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs & Reconciliation to address the needs of the Somali people and to build a brighter future for the country. The programme has been named the “Programme of the Month” by the Ministry and is expected to have a significant impact on the lives of children in Somalia.
