(23/07/23) MOGADISHU – On an official visit to Doha, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, Minister of Defense of Somalia, visited Ahmed Bin Muhammad Military College and the Language Institute of the Qatari Armed Forces. The visits were intended to strengthen cooperation in the field of military education between the two countries.
A delegation of senior Somali military officials accompanied the minister. They were met by officials from Qatar’s Defense Ministry as well as other senior Qatari military officials.
Mr. Abulkadir pointed out that the two countries will continue to collaborate in the field of military education, as the visits had provided an excellent opportunity to learn from Qatar’s expertise in this area.
The visits were seen as an indication of the growing cooperation between Somalia and Qatar in the field of military education. They also emphasised the importance that both countries place on education and training as a way to build strong and professional armed forces.
