(02 Oct 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Several explosions occurred in the Dayniile district of Mogadishu on Tuesday night, targeting commercial areas. Mines were used in the attacks, which caused significant damage to the buildings but resulted in no reported casualties.
The Somali government has mandated the installation of CCTV cameras in business properties in Mogadishu and has now extended this requirement to the outskirts of the city to monitor criminal activities. Al-Shabaab is suspected to be behind the attacks.
These incidents come as the government intensifies its operations against the militant group.
