Jubaland Regional Assembly on Monday approved the 2025 budget for the Jubaland State during its parliamentary sitting. According to the Jubaland Ministry of Finance, the budget, totalling $63,387,111.39, has undergone comprehensive reviews to align with the state’s development objectives. Chaired by Deputy Speaker Hon. Abdi Balley Hussein, the session highlighted key distinctions between the 2025 and 2024 budgets, with this year’s allocation reflecting a 27.86% increase from last year’s $49,578,953.81.
Jubaland Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Ahmed Handal attended the session, underscoring the budget’s role in driving economic growth across Jubaland. The Parliament members voted unanimously in favour, with no abstentions or objections, indicating strong support for the financial plan. The budget increase will accelerate growth, enhance public services, and build economic resilience as Jubaland moves toward its 2025 goals.
