(02 Oct 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – The Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs held a farewell ceremony in Mogadishu for a group of lawyers who have been awarded scholarships to pursue higher education in Turkey.
The Ministry underlined that sending these legal professionals abroad for specialized training is a strategic move to enhance the country’s legal capacity and better protect the rights of Somali citizens.
During the event, the Minister of Justice, Hassan Moallim, expressed his confidence in the lawyers’ ability to contribute significantly to Somalia’s legal system upon their return. The lawyers, in turn, pledged to make the most of this opportunity and bring back valuable knowledge and skills to serve their country.
The Minister encouraged the scholars to make the best use of their time in Turkey and to return as skilled professionals capable of positively impacting Somalia’s legal landscape.
