Police Chief meets Qatari Ambassador to Somalia

(09 Oct 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Somalia’s Police Chief, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, met the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Somalia, Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al Nuaimi, on Wednesday.

The meeting discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in security, counter-terrorism, and Qatari support for training and equipping the Somali police force. Brigadier General Abdullahi commended the Qatari government’s efforts to enhance Somalia’s police capacity, contributing to the country’s ongoing efforts to restore security. Both officials pledged to deepen collaboration and reinforce the security partnership between their respective police forces.
