Prime Minister Barre Oversees Handover in Ministry of Public Works

(27 Oct 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre on Sunday presided over the handover of duties between the newly appointed Minister of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing, Mr. Elmi Mahmoud Noor, and his predecessor, Mr. Abdisalam Abdi Ali Dhay.

Prime Minister Barre highlighted that the Ministry of Public Works is a critical institution for the nation and expressed his hopes for the new Minister to fulfil the goals of the government’s initiative, aimed at advancing infrastructure development across Somalia.

PM Barre also extended his gratitude to the former Minister, who now serves as the Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, for his dedicated service to the nation during his tenure. He wished the new Minister success in meeting the significant responsibilities entrusted to him.
