(11 Dec 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Federal Government of Somalia’s Minister of Internal Security, General Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), handed over six vehicles to the Security Ministers of Galmudug and Hirshabelle today.
The vehicles are intended to bolster the capacity of police forces operating in areas recently liberated from the Al-Shabaab militant group. They will enhance the efforts to maintain security and stability in these areas.
The handover ceremony included formally presenting the vehicle keys to the police commanders of Galmudug and HirShabelle. The handover is part of the federal government’s effort to rebuild security institutions across the federal member states.
