(06 June 2025) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Senior security officials and Banadir regional authorities held a high-level meeting in Mogadishu on Thursday night to coordinate safety measures ahead of the Eid al-Adha celebrations.
Present at the meeting were Police Commissioner Gen. Asad Abdullahi Osman, the newly appointed Director of NISA Mahad Mohamed Salad, Governor of Banadir and Mayor of Mogadishu Dr. Hassan Hussein Muungaab, Deputy Governor for Security, as well as heads of the police and intelligence units operating in Banadir, and the commander of the Military Police.
The discussions focused on enhancing security during the Eid festivities, a time marked by large public gatherings and heightened activity across the capital.
Officials stressed the importance of doubling security efforts to ensure citizens can celebrate the holy days in peace. They called on the public to fully cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activity to safeguard the festive period from potential threats.
