Somali Police Force Commander Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi on Sunday welcomed a high-level security delegation from the Republic of Iraq to the Police Headquarters in Mogadishu. The delegation is in Somalia to advance the implementation of the security and cooperation agreement between the two countries.
In a closed-door meeting, the two sides discussed moving forward with the agreement, focusing on intelligence sharing, specialised training, enhancing counterterrorism capabilities, and tackling organised crime.
Following the talks, Brig. Gen. Abdullahi led the delegation on a familiarisation tour of the Police Headquarters, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the Police Academy, the Coast Guard Command, and the Police Orphanage Care Centre.
