(11-09-25) GAROWE (HN) — Puntland police, in collaboration with local elders, have apprehended a suspect accused of shooting two men dead on the outskirts of Garowe early Thursday morning. Authorities identified the suspect as Mohamed Dulyar, who allegedly gunned down the victims in the 22nd settlement area, east of Garowe town.
Regional police officers in Nugal confirmed the arrest, linking the double homicide to a simmering land dispute over plots in the area.
Dulyar has since been remanded to Garowe Central Prison. Police officials said he will face trial before the court once investigations are complete, stressing that the matter will be handled in accordance with the law.
