The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Yemen, Abdirahkim Mohamed Ahmed, on Sunday met in Aden with Yemen’s Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Mohsen bin Mohammed Al-Daari, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral ties.
Talks centred on enhancing cooperation between the two brotherly nations, with a particular focus on security, border protection, and advancing diplomatic relations.
Minister Al-Daari underscored the deep-rooted and historic relations between Somalia and Yemen, stressing that Yemenis will never forget Somalia’s steadfast support and constructive positions during critical times.
Ambassador Ahmed conveyed warm greetings from Somalia’s Minister of Defence, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, and reaffirmed Somalia’s firm commitment to bolstering defence cooperation and supporting joint efforts to promote peace, development, and stability.
