(24-03-23) Mogadihsu – Early on Friday in Mogadishu’s Howlwadaag district, a clash occurred between NISA forces and Al-Shabaab militants at the Bakara intersection, resulting in casualties and injuries.
Reports indicate that three armed Al-Shabaab militants launched an attack on a location where security forces were stationed, leading to a 30-minute firefight.
NISA officials reported that one Al-Shabaab assailant was killed and his weapon was seized, while the other attackers resisted. A NISA soldier sustained injuries during the conflict.
Following the skirmish, the situation in the affected areas has stabilized, and daily life, including business and public activities, has resumed as normal.
