(31/07/23) MOGADISHU – In a Twitter Space session hosted by the National Media on Sunday evening, The Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Abdirahman Sheikh Yusuf “Al-Adalah’, provided a comprehensive update on Somalia’s efforts to combat extremist groups. He said that national forces have achieved significant success, eliminating multiple Al-Shabaab leaders and militiamen through targeted strikes on their military bases and hiding locations.
Minister Al-Adalah emphasised dismantling weapon stockpiles and disrupting Al Shabaab’s Financial movements as priorities. He said that the first phase of the operation has yielded fruitful results, and that further robust actions will be taken to counter extortionists causing trouble for the public along the Mogadishu-Baidoa route.
The government’s commitment to ensuring public safety and stability remains unwavering.
