(01-07-23) BELEDWEYNE – Ali Jeyte Osman, the removed governor of Hiiran Region, has made an announcement regarding the appointment of several individuals to key positions within Hiran State. The former governor’s office has issued a statement announcing his nomination of new mayors for the Hiran region as well as other newly named Upper Shabelle districts.
Abdiaziz Ahmed was designated to be the mayor of the Hiran region, and Abdiladid Farah was selected to be the new mayor of the recently established area of Upper Shabelle.
He also announced the appointments of the Darwish army’s commander and deputy commander. Sulauman Geedi was named commander, with Abdullahi Mohmed serving as deputy commander. Also, Afrah Ali was named the head of logistics for the Darwish army.
Other officials that were decreed are the speaker of the house of Hiran State, Mohmuud Mohamed.
There is no statement from the Government of Hirshabeelle about the appointments that were issued from Ali Jeyte’s office or his declaration of becoming president of Hiraan State, which he believes to be a separate state from Hirshable State
