(20-08-23) MOGADISHU – The Hirshabelle State Cabinet of Ministers, in collaboration with Adale District Parliament representatives and the Chairman of the High Court, on Sunday, gathered to deliberate on issues. These encompassed enhancing security measures, operations against Al-Shabaab, conflict mediation, ensuring regional stability, forming local councils, and refining the judicial system for equitable community services.
Abdullahi Mohamud Gagal, the presiding Chair of the Hirshabelle High Court, emphasized the indispensable role of justice in establishing peace. He advocated for a more streamlined legal framework and fostered collaboration between the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Court. Among the initiatives is the significant emphasis on prison infrastructure development.
Furthermore, during the Cabinet meeting, accolades were generously bestowed upon the Peace Committee. This committee, handpicked by the President, has been a linchpin in mitigating and resolving tensions within the Hirshabelle region.
