(14-12-23) MOGADISHU (HN) — Early Thursday, the Somali National Army (SNA) and their international partners launched a targeted operation in Barag Cali Gaduud village, 31 kilometres south of Harardhere town in Mudug region.
The operation, which featured an aerial strike, focused on dismantling vehicles and neutralizing militants associated with the extremist group Al-Shabaab. SNA officials have confirmed the destruction of two vehicles during the operation, a blow to the leadership and militia of Al-Shabaab.
Barag Cali Gududud is one of the few areas that are still under the control of Al-Shabaab in Mudug region.
