(09-01-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — This morning, the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) conducted an operation in Beledweyne, the regional capital of Hiiraan.
State-owned TV reported that the operation resulted in the capture of members of Al-Shabaab. These individuals were allegedly attempting to travel to the Galgaduud region, where heavy operations against Al-Shabaab are ongoing.
The operation came amidst a heightened military campaign in both Galgaduud and the southern parts of the Mudug region.
