During the discussions, President Mohamud stressed the dire consequences of climate change on Somalia, exacerbated by ongoing security challenges. He is set to address these issues further at the 6th United Nations Climate Change Conference in Nairobi, advocating for global and regional support. “Climate change has hit Somalia hard. We must address these environmental challenges as they compound our security issues,” he is expected to convey.
