(04-03-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Security forces have apprehended individuals suspected of being involved in the murder of Abdi Hassan Muhyadin, a prominent local elder and peacemaker in Mogadishu. The incident occurred in Daynile District on Sunday evening, where militants, believed to be members of the Al-Shabaab group, launched an attack on Muhyadin at his home. The incident also resulted in the death of the elder’s bodyguard, who attempted to resist the attackers.
Subsequently, security forces pursued the attackers and detained two of them, while the body of a third was also recovered. Police have recently achieved success in arresting individuals involved in acts of insecurity in the capital, instilling fear among criminal elements that they will face justice.
