(01 April 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Galmudug State Police in the town of Galinsor in the southern Mudug region have successfully apprehended a suspect accused of murdering Puntland a year ago. The suspect, identified as Abdideq Khalif, is alleged to have been involved in a fatal incident in Hero Jaalle, Puntland.
Following the arrest, Galmudug police swiftly handed the suspect over to their Puntland counterparts in Mudug region. The Governor of Puntland’s Mudug region expressed gratitude to the Galmudug administration for the arrest and subsequent transfer of the suspect, emphasising the strong collaborative efforts between the security agencies of the two states.
Recently, the administrations of the two states have stepped up their cooperation, engaging in the exchange of suspects involved in cross-border crimes. The initiative ensures that individuals accused of crimes are apprehended and brought to justice, reinforcing the rule of law across regional boundaries.
