(03 April 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Jubaland Administration’s Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management has received a significant donation of 4,000 tonnes of dates and foodstuffs from the Kismayo Port Authority. This contribution, provided by the Somali Disaster Management Agency SoDMA, is part of a humanitarian aid exercise the agency has been conducting across several regions in the country.
Sulaiman Sheikh Ibrahim, representing the Kismayo Port Authority, formally reported on the aid and transferred it to the Ministry’s Director-General of Relief and Disaster Management.
Upon accepting the donation, Adan Farah Garane, the Director-General, expressed gratitude to SoDMA for their support. The aid is earmarked for those impacted by floods and less fortunate families during this holy month of Ramadan.
