(07 April 2024) KISMAYO (Halqabsi News) — The Kismayo district administration held an Iftar dinner on Sunday in honour of the troops stationed on the northern frontlines. The event, organised by municipal officials and hosted in Bulo Gudud, saw the presence of district commissioner Omar Abdullahi Mohamed, his deputy Dahir Hussein Abdi Qoqani, and Colonel Aar Sheikh Ali, commander of the second battalion of Jubaland military.
The evening was marked by speeches that praised the soldiers for their bravery and dedication to keeping the enemy at bay. The speakers stressed the high regard in which the soldiers are held, acknowledging their sacrifices and urging them to continue their efforts to bring peace and stability to the region.
