(28 April 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Clan clashes were reported in the Galgaduud region on Sunday morning, resulting in over ten killed and many more injured. The clashes in remote areas between Hul-Ku-Jir and Laandheer settlements currently subsided following many hours of confrontations between the feuding clans.
The bodies and injured combatants have been transported to the towns of Herale and Abudwak, which are the respective strongholds of the warring militias.
The clashes reportedly involved two clan militias from the Dir and Marehan clans, with a history of recurring conflicts. Galmudug authorities have not yet commented on the clashes, which serve as an undermining to the war against Al-Shabaab in the region.
