(28 April 2024) GAROWE (Halqabsi News) — Puntland’s President, Siciid Abdullahi Deni, returned to Garowe on Sunday afternoon following an unannounced trip abroad that began on 3 April.
President Deni has yet to comment on his journey, but it is believed that he visited Kenya, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates during his three-week journey. It is also thought that no Puntland officials joined the President on his trip.
This marks President Deni’s first trip outside the country since his re-election as Puntland’s president on January 8, 2024.
