(03 April 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set to re-establish Dhusamareb as his interm command centre for a second time, to intensify the military campaign against Al-Shabaab in the Galmudug and HirShabelle States.
Sources close to Villa Somalia have revealed that the President is scheduled to arrive in Dhusamareb in mid-April to expedite the military operations against Al-Shabaab.
Earlier this week, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud inspected areas in Galmudug prior to his departure to Saudi Arabia, where he will perform Umrah and engage in discussions with Saudi government officials.
The President’s decision to return to Dhusamareb underscores his commitment to accelerating the offensive against the militant group.
