(16 April 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, George Conway, engaged in discussions with Galmudug Vice President, Ali Eid in Dhusamareb, focussing on a government approach and consultations on the overall situation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the region.
The UN delegation, headed by Conway, also participated in a session organised by the Federal Ministry of Planning for the Solutions Pathways Action Planning Development. The initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at resolving the displacement of one million IDPs by 2025.
