Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hassan Moallim Mohamud, launched the Social Protection Advocacy Conference for the SAGAL Project in Mogadishu. The two-day conference aims to enhance support and develop proactive strategies for the most vulnerable sectors of Somalia. The event featured a comprehensive evaluation of the SAGAL project, a government-led initiative that extends across all federal member states to assist vulnerable groups.
During the conference, Minister Mohamud commended the efforts of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the project’s donors. He emphasised the federal government’s dedication to dedicating a portion of its budget to social issues. This commitment is part of a broader strategy to promote community growth and national development. The conference marks the 9th iteration of the Advocacy and Community Care series, underscoring its ongoing importance in the Somali social policy landscape.
