(31-05-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Hirshabelle State President Ali Gudlawe Hussein commended the Mataban district in Hiran for its strong governance and collaboration with the regional government. He urged increased security measures and operations against Al-Shabaab militants to further stabilise the region.
President Gudlawe praised Mataban’s dedication to effective governance and their integral role within the regional administration. He highlighted the successful establishment of the Local Council of Districts & Areas, bringing administrative services closer to communities. He specifically recognised Geri-Jir, recently declared a district, for its exceptional governance.
The Hirshabelle government, in partnership with officials from Hiran and Middle Shabelle and local Mawisley militia groups, continues its operations against Al-Shabaab to ensure security and reduce the threat of militant activities.
