(25 Aug 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre, has discussed with the Acting Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia, James Swan. According to the office of the Prime Minister, the two officials’ discussions focused on bolstering cooperation between UN agencies and the federal government.
PM Barre thanked the United Nations for its wide-ranging support to Somalia, particularly in humanitarian aid. He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to working closely with the UN, emphasising key government priorities to achieve significant progress.
