(20 Aug 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama presided over a meeting focused on the stabilisation of HirShabelle regions, with the participation of HirShabelle State President, Ali Gudlawe Hussein Cali Gudlawe Hussein.
The meeting addressed the delivery of basic services and the evaluation of ongoing projects in HirShabelle. It also emphasised the significance of the stabilisation programme and the response to the needs of the population in areas liberated from the Al-Shabaab group.
President Gudlawe provided a briefing to the federal government on his recent tour of most of the HirShabelle towns and villages, which he described as an effort to assess the conditions of people living in areas reclaimed from Al-Shabaab.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah emphasised that the government is prioritising access to essential services for these communities, including education, healthcare, clean water, and the establishment of district administrations and security infrastructure.
