(26 Aug 2024) GAROWE (Halqabsi News) Nugal Regional Police have announced the arrest of seven men suspected of ties to terrorist organisations operating in Puntland State. In a brief statement, the Nugal Police Command confirmed the detention of the suspects, who are allegedly linked to terrorist groups. “The Nugal Police have arrested seven men accused of terrorist affiliations,” the statement said in part.
The police further revealed that three of the suspects were transferred to Garowe’s central prison. However, one of the men attempted to escape at the prison gate and was injured during the incident. “Today, three of the suspects were transferred to Garowe central prison. Upon arrival, one of them attempted to flee but was injured,” the statement added.
