(26 Aug 2024) GAROWE (Halqabsi News) – Puntland Traffic Police have issued a report on the impact of over 800 traffic accidents in the region over the past six months. Colonel Abdifitah Said Saleban (Afrikan), Commander of Puntland Traffic Police, confirmed that 801 accidents were recorded during this period. These incidents resulted in 45 deaths and 188 injuries, with 109 of the injuries classified as severe. Additionally, 27 vehicles were destroyed.
“Over the past six months, 801 traffic accidents were recorded across Puntland, leading to 45 deaths and 188 injuries, including 109 severe cases, and 27 vehicles were written off,” Colonel Afrikan said. He also noted a decline in the number of accidents compared to the previous six-month period, marking an overall reduction in traffic incidents across the region.
