(11 Sep 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – A delegation led by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre arrived in Baidoa, South West State on Wednesday. PM Barre’s delegation received a warm welcome from South West State President, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed ‘Laftagareen’, regional administration officials and various community groups.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the visit seeks to strengthen collaboration between the federal government and the South West State. Key discussions are expected to accelerate efforts in the fight against extremist groups and address political issues, security, and economic development.
During his time in Baidoa, Prime Minister Barre will meet with a range of community members, traditional elders, and local officials to address the overall national situation and explore continued cooperation in fostering development and peacebuilding in the region.
