(20 Nov 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — A by-election was held this morning in Baidoa, resulting in Adan Hassan Mohamed, also known as ‘Adan Laftagareen,’ being elected to the House of the People Seat 172. General Mahad Abdirahman, the Chief of Somali Custodial and Corrections Services, previously held the seat.
Adan Laftagareen, the brother of President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, will now represent the constituency in the Federal Parliament.
