(30 Dec 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni visited Garowe today to launch the construction of the region’s largest hospital, the International Healthcare System (IHS). President Deni hailed the project as a “game-changer” for Puntland, noting it will reduce the need for citizens to seek medical treatment abroad. He thanked Dr. Darman Aden, MD, FACP, from IHS Health Care System, for leading the initiative.
The ceremony was attended by government officials, local administrators, IHS representatives, and community members. Following the event, President Deni returned to Bosaso, where he had travelled from, and oversaw preparation for a major offensive against the Islamic State group in Puntland regions.
