(09 June 2025) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Hassan Mohamed Hussein ‘Mungab’ kicked off the national class eight primary examinations today, with a total of 41,639 students sitting for the tests. This marks the sixth consecutive year that the Banadir Regional Administration has independently overseen the administration of these exams.
Speaking at the launch event, Governor Mungab reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to raising the quality and expanding the reach of education across the region. He vowed to increase access to free education and extended his best wishes to all candidates, expressing hope for their success.
The Governor lauded the dedication of parents whose support helped students reach this milestone. He also commended the security forces for maintaining safety and order at exam centres.
The launch ceremony drew the participation of several key officials, including the Deputy Governor for Security and Politics, Mohamed Ahmed Diriye “Yaboh’,, the Banadir Regional Police Commander Mahdi Omar Mumin , senior education officials, and other members of the regional leadership.
