(11 June 2025) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will launch Centennial Vision 2060 on June 23, a long-term development framework aimed at guiding Somalia’s progress over the next three decades. The plan, led by the National Economic Council (NEC), aligns with Africa’s Agenda 2063 and outlines broad priorities for peace, economic growth, and institutional reform.
The vision sets out goals in areas including infrastructure, governance, and human development, with a focus on building consensus around national priorities. It is expected to serve as a reference point for future planning and investment, both domestically and with international partners.
The official launch will take place in Mogadishu, with NEC officials saying the initiative is part of a wider effort to provide long-term direction for the country’s development. The framework will be open to updates and revisions as national needs evolve.
