Puntland security forces have apprehended a suspected Yemeni member of ISIS-Somalia as he attempted to flee the ongoing Al-Miskat counter-terror operation in the Baallade Valley near Bossaso.
Brigadier General Mohamud Mohamed Fadhigo, spokesperson for the Hillaac Offensive, confirmed the arrest, noting the militant was captured alone amid ongoing security sweep in the valley. Puntland authorities say this is one of several recent arrests involving fleeing ISIS elements, with suspects intercepted individually, in pairs, or small groups as the operation enters its final stages.
