The Prime Minister, who was raised by a single mother after his father’s passing, emphasized the importance of women as the backbone and foundation of families and nations.
During his speech, the Prime Minister pledged the government’s commitment to protecting the rights of women and their participation in politics and social affairs. He also praised Somali women for their contributions to security and the fight against extremist groups in the country.
“The National Government is committed to protecting Somali girls, educating them, boosting their economy, and safeguarding their rights, both as girls and as individuals with divinely given rights,” said Mr. Hamse.
