(12-06-23) DHUSAMAREB — In a joint ceremony on Sunday evening, the President of Galmudug Federal State, Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoorqoor, and the Director General of the Immigration and Naturalisation Directorate (IND) of Somalia, Abdulqadir Ilmi Ali (Abdul), cut the ribbon on the newly constructed 4th Branch Headquarters of the Directorate in the Galmudug capital, Dhusamareb.
The development of the new IND facility holds significant implications for Dhusamareb City and the wider Galmudug area. It is expected to bolster the services offered by the Directorate, thereby fulfilling the service needs of the Galmudug community.
President Kariye thanked the IND for fulfilling its promise of erecting a facility in the capital of Galmudug. “We are all pleased to be here today at the headquarters of the 4th Branch of the IND,” he said, expressing his gratitude towards the IND and Director General Abdul for their swift response to their request.
The inauguration event was attended by the People’s Assembly members, Galmudug State Ministers, Members of Parliament, the Galgudud Regional Administration, the Mayor of Dhusamareb, and other officials and advisors.
On Saturday, The President of Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoorqoor, inaugurated the new Ministry of Education and Higher Education building in Dhusamareb in a ceremony marking an optimistic new chapter for the region’s education landscape.
As the ribbon was cut and the doors to the new headquarters were opened, it signalled a new chapter in the state’s immigration and naturalisation services, aiming to streamline processes and better serve the Galmudug community.
