(08/08/23) MOGADISHU – In a joint effort between the Somali National Army and international partners, a targeted operation was executed against an Al-Shabaab terrorist group centre in the Mukayle area of Buulo Burte District, Hiraan Region.
The focus of the operation was a Al-shabaab operated garage used to assemble explosive-laden vehicles. Four such vehicles were neutralised in the process, thwarting potential harm to the Somali people.
The operation also led to the elimination of a skilled militiaman responsible for crafting explosives. This strategic move is part of ongoing initiatives to dismantle Al-Shabaab strongholds and enhance national security.
