(11-10-23) MOGADISHU — The Special Representative of the Chairperson Commission (SRCC) and Head of ATMIS, Amb. Souef Mohamed Elamine, welcomed Joachim Waern, the Swedish Ambassador to Somalia, at the ATMIS Mission Headquarters in Mogadishu on Wednesday. According to an ATMIS tweet, the focal point of their conversation revolved around the current security situation in Somalia and the ongoing security transition process in the country.
Ambassador Waern and Amb. Elamine also delved into the role and contributions of ATMIS in supporting the Federal Government of Somalia. They emphasised the importance of joint efforts and collaborations in achieving sustainable peace and development for the nation.
This meeting underscores the continued commitment and international collaboration towards ensuring stability, peace, and state-building efforts in Somalia.
