(01-12-23) BOSASO (HN) — Khadar Abdi Ali, a revered leader of the Somali community from Ethiopia’s Somali region and a prominent figure in Puntland, was tragically assassinated on Friday in his home in the Raf and Raho village of Bosaso city. This brutal incident, which also grievously injured his young son, has sparked widespread horror and grief across Puntland and the Somali region of Ethiopia.
Witnesses report that an unidentified assailant forcefully entered Ali’s residence and fatally shot him. This violent act was made even more harrowing by the injury sustained by Ali’s son, who, in a heart-wrenching turn of events, fell upon his father during the attack. The child is currently receiving urgent medical care.
