(28-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Somali Police Force detained four young men affiliated with the extremist group Al-Shabaab, officials announced on Wednesday. The arrests occurred at 16:15 at the Garsbaaley Police Station, following the murder of Hassan Abdulkadir Ibrahim, a Somali National Army officer.
“The successful operation led to the capture of a dangerous cell operating within Mogadishu,” stated Station Commander Mohamed Adan. “Our forces also confiscated a rikshaw motorcycle and two pistols used in the heinous crime.”
The individuals apprehended, all young men, are currently in custody, pending further investigation. Authorities have announced that the accused will soon be brought before a competent court to face justice for their alleged crimes.
