(29-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Hirshabelle State concluded its Conference of Administrators of regions, and districts, focusing on stabilisation efforts and regional coordination, announced President Ali Abdullahi Hussein Guudlawe on Wednesday.
The four-day event, held at the Hirshabelle Presidency headquarters in Jowhar, was attended by prominent figures including Vice President Yusuf Ahmed Hagar Dabaged, High Court Chairman Abdullahi Mohamud Gagal, and Federal Parliament Member Mohamed Deeq Barre Haji, alongside other ministers and MPs from the region.
The conference, aimed at fostering unity and development within the 22 districts of Hirshabelle, was emphasised by cultural showcases and traditional games, reflecting the area’s rich heritage.
“The achievements we’ve marked are monumental, showcasing our commitment to the betterment of Hirshabelle,” stated Mohamed Hassan from the Ministry of Interior and Local Government. He highlighted the progress of 176 regional projects, including the significant Sabun Dam Project valued at two hundred million dollars, and initiatives in sectors such as health, education, and infrastructure in recently liberated districts.
In his concluding speech, President Guudlawe emphasised the collaborative spirit of the conference. “Our leadership and districts are united in purpose and action, ensuring the stability and prosperity of Hirshabelle,” he affirmed.
