(16-03-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, accompanied by cabinet members, visited Erdogan Hospital on Saturday to meet and offer support to the victims of Thursday night’s Al-Shabaab attack on the SYL hotel, located near the presidential palace. Prime Minister Barre extended prayers for the injured during his visit and engaged in discussions with medical staff regarding the treatment and recovery of those affected.
Also, Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama inspected the condition of the injured officials and citizens, highlighting the government’s commitment to the welfare of all affected. He praised the security forces for their decisive action in neutralising the threat and safeguarding the lives of those caught in the attack.
The visits highlight the Somali government’s solidarity with victims and its resolve against terrorism. Leaders’ efforts to personally engage with the injured and commend the security forces reflect a united front in the face of adversity and a commitment to national recovery and security.
