(16-Feb-23) Mogadishu, Somalia – The President of Hirshabelle State of Somalia, Ali Guudlawe Hussein, held a special meeting with the French Ambassador to Somalia, Ambassador Arnaud Suquet, to discuss the progress of the region’s liberation operations, as well as its economic and social development.
The meeting, which took place earlier today, focused on a range of critical issues, including the acceleration of welfare projects, stabilization, and economic development in the Hirshabelle areas. During the discussions, the two officials explored strategies to ensure the provision of essential services to the people of Hirshabelle, such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Speaking after the meeting, Ambassador Suquet reiterated France’s commitment to supporting the Hirshabelle State, saying, “France stands ready to provide assistance in any way we can to ensure that the people of Hirshabelle have access to the basic services they need to live and thrive.”
Ambassador Arnaud Suquet praised the efforts of the Hirshabelle state government and assured President Hussein of France’s continued support. He emphasized that France is committed to helping Somalia in its efforts to achieve lasting peace and security.
