(22 April 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has conferred the nation’s highest sports medal upon athlete Abdullahi Jama Mohamed. The accolade came in recognition of Abdullahi’s silver-medal triumph in the 5000-metre race at the African Games held in Accra, Ghana.
In his commendation, President Mohamud extolled Mohamed for his exemplary skill, staunch patriotism, and the resolute confidence he displayed while representing Somalia on the global stage. He further emphasised that Mohamed has the unwavering support of the Somali government.
