(21 July 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – The federal government has reportedly released several men from the Somaliland region who were detained in Mogadishu. The suspects were held in connection with the killing of Abdinasir Muse Dahable, an employee of the Somali Civil Aviation Authority. Dahable was found dead in his home in Mogadishu’s Wadajir district on 18 February this year.
The suspects were released following efforts by federal government officials from Somaliland regions who advocated for their release. Dahable was laid to rest in his hometown of Gebiley, after his family requested that his body be airlifted. Neither the Somali Civil Aviation Authority nor the security agencies have commented on the release of the suspects.
